Rugby is the main sport in St. Mary’s College Junior School and is played by every boy. Rugby is a great sport for teaching team work, for fostering respect for oneself and one’s opponent and for getting really muddy with your friends.
Starting in 3rd Class each class has rugby training after school one day a week from 2.30 to 3.40.
On a Wednesday all boys from 2nd to 6th class play in a class league; where 6 to 8 teams play games in a league format with the winners being decided with semi- finals and finals in March.
Every Saturday morning each boy has either training for an hour or a match against another school.
