Summer has arrived!
To celebrate summer arriving we took our reading time outside today!
Trip to the Ark Theatre
On Friday the 11th of March the boys of Form 2 travelled to The Ark Theatre in Templebar to see “BEES! A Musical”. This was an educational and fun musical all about the important role bees play in looking after our environment.
Afterwards we were lucky to be paid a visit by the cast members!
A big thank you to Ms. Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Kenny and Mrs. Daunt-Brennan for providing lifts. It was very much appreciated! 🙂

Inside the boys worked together and built their own rockets using string, balloons, straws and a lot of cello-tape! 🙂
Check out our science gallery for more photos.

Our first week in St. Mary’s is in full swing!
Yesterday the boys had their first music lesson with Ms. McMahon and this morning they have art with Ms. Fitzpatrick.
Photos to follow soon.
There will be no Form 2 rugby training tomorrow (21/10/2017).
It’s great to see such strong results for our clean hands experiment!
The first slice of bread was our control, the second was touched by washed hands and the third, fourth and fifth slices were touched by dirty hands.
The boys were very impressed to see how their germs affected the bread and know how important it is to wash their hands.
This week the whole school celebrated science week!!
The Form 2 boys took part in a Lego engineering challenge, listened to a fantastic presentation on science in medicine by Dr. McCartney, tested the effects of clean/dirty hands on bread and finished off the week with crazy Harry Potter themed experiments with Mal!
A big thank you to Mal and Gerry for contributing so much to Form 2 and 2.1’s science week!
Thank you also to Mr. Agnew for his immense efforts in organising so many activities and visits for the entire school.
Please note the following;
Wednesday – tracksuit/runners day. The boys must also bring their St. Mary’s jersey, shorts, rugby socks, rugby boots and mouth guard for in-school training.
