cricketCricket has been played on the front pitch of St. Marys for over 80 years.

In recent years, the College has enjoyed tremendous success winning the Leinster Schools Junior and Senior cup Double in 2014.

For the summer term Cricket takes the place of rugby in the Junior School.

Starting in 3rd Class each class has cricket training after school one day a week from 2.30 to 3.40.

On a Wednesday the boys from 2nd to 6th class play in a class league; where 6 to 8 teams play games in a league format with the winners being decided with semi- finals and finals in May.

Every Saturday morning each boy has training for an hour on our front field.

From the older classes we field teams to compete against other schools; two teams are entered into competitions – one in the Raftery under 13 Plate (we are the current holders) and also the Leprechaun Cup, for the younger players.
